Terms and Conditions

Government has regulated the skip bin industry in recent years.
Please understand that there are many laws that have to be followed or Skip Bins Gosford will be fined.

GOVERNMENT RULES ON SKIP BINS

No asbestos

If your skip has waste from a bathroom, vinyl tiles, old fibro and similar then there is a good chance that will have asbestos in it.

Don't fill the bin above the rim

The RTA will fine us for transporting an unsafe load if the bin is filled above the rim.

No medical or biological waste

Medical and biological waste is not permitted by law: no needles, sharps, masks, swabs, used equipment or supplies.

No food waste

Do not put food waste in the bin as this can;t be dumped in the normal way. If you have food waste to dispose of please call us and we will give you the right bin.

No wet concrete or concrete wash

Wet concrete or concrete wash is NOT allowed in any bin. If these are detected at the tip then penalties will apply.

No gas bottles, chemicals, paint or batteries

It is illegal to put those items in a skip as they can explode if compressed. The Council has several free disposal options.

EXTRA CHARGES

Asbestos

Asbestos tipping is $48.60 per 100kg or part thereof.

Excess weight

If your bin is over the weight allowance the extra weight is charged in increments of 100kg. The charge is up to $40.30 for every 100kg or part thereof. Dirt is charged at $99 a tonne or part thereof.

Tyres

Car Tyre — $66 Offroad Tyre — $94

Tree Stump

Tree stump above 600mm wide — $94 ea

Mattress

Mattress charge — $94

Other charges

Carpet and synthetic grass, charging is based on weight;
Moving or blocking the bin from collection;
Lighting a fire or otherwise damaging our bins.
